This program was designed as a hybrid distance learning program with the cooperation and commitment of the nine departments of the School. Structured as a four-year course of study, it is intended to meet the critical need for doctorally prepared allied health professionals across the nation in the areas of teaching, research and administration.

Doctoral Student Recognized as Outstanding Clinical Anesthesia Practitioner
James S. Furstein, CRNA, DNAP, MSN, a student in the Nurse Anesthesia specialty track of the Doctoral Program in Health Related Sciences, and alumnus of the VCU DNAP Program, received the 30th Annual Alice Magaw Outstanding Clinical Anesthesia Practitioner Award at the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA) 2015 Nurse Anesthesia Annual Congress in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Elizabeth Leibach, a doctoral student in the Clinical Laboratory Science specialty track of the Doctoral Program in Health Related Sciences, was recognized at the 2015 annual meeting of the American Society for Clinical Laboratory Science.
