Beverly George-Gay is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Nurse Anesthesia at the
Virginia Commonwealth University School of Allied Health in Richmond, Virginia. She completed a Master of Science in Nursing
(MSN) degree at the University of Florida in 1991 and began a career in academic nursing at the Medical College of Georgia,
School of Nursing before relocating to Richmond.
Mrs. George-Gay has over 20 years of acute and critical care nursing experience. She is
involved in the American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN) both locally and nationally and is certified through
AACN as a CCRN. Mrs. George-Gay is an active ACLS and BLS instructor and lectures both locally and nationally on critical
care topics.
Areas of interest include cardiovascular nursing, human simulation, and quality outcomes
with distance education.
Mrs. George-Gay is a proud wife and mother of three delightful children. She enjoys family
time, biking, and traveling.
