 For almost 30 years, the O.T. Department has
been housed in the Virginia Military Institute (VMI) building. On August 10, 2007, the VCU O.T. Department was
moved to the Theater Row building, located at 730 E. Broad Street. While the O.T. Department is
still located on the MCV campus and in walking distance from the VMI building, it is now in the heart of
downtown Richmond next to the Library of Virginia.
The O.T. Department is located on the 2nd floor in
the 2050 suite. Accomodations include: faculty offices and conference room, Assitive Tech Computer Lab, SPASE
Lab, Video Analysis Lab, Assistive Technology for Cognition Lab, Activities Lab and ADL Lab. Spacious
classroom space is avaliable on both the 1st and 2nd floor with computer technology for presentations.
Student Lounge space and the School of Allied Health Professions Computer Lab are available for students, who
have adapted well to the move. Rehabilitation Counseling, Gerontology, and the Geriatric Education Center have
all joined us in this move to Theatre Row. Please puruse the pictures of our new space on the web.
