Interested students may pursue an additional Certificate in
Aging Studies. This certificate is offered in conjunction with the Department of Gerontology, Gerontology Education
Center. Requirements of this certificate include 9 credits of core Gerontology courses and an additional 8 credits of
electives consistent with the study of aging. With the 9 credits of core Gerontology courses serving as the 9
occupational therapy concentration credits, students who want to complete the Certificate in Aging Studies in addition to
the MS in OT would take a total of 41 credits (33 for MS in OT, plus 8 additional gerontology credits).
